According to new studies young dinosaurs may have banded together in order to improve survival. This is suggested by new findings of mass dinosaur graves where young dinosaurs were found.
Researchers studied a herd of 25 young Sinornithomimus dongi found in the Gobi Desert. It is believed these dinosaurs died in a mud trap. Other sites have also shown groups of dinosaurs together. In particular, younger dinosaurs were in closer proximity to each other indicating they often banded together. It is likely they did this to help each other survive.
